Another bullet has hit a house in Mankato.

Mankato Department of Public Safety Commander Dan Schisel.

Mankato Department of Public Safety Commander Dan Schisel said a homeowner on Hoffman Road woke to a loud noise early Sunday morning and, “Didn’t think much of it but after we reported the incident with the other weapons they actually had found evidence of a round that struck their home.”

Investigators recovered in intact round of the same caliber as a similar incident that was reported the night before.

On Sunday evening, a homeowner on Heather Lane reported that a light fixture was damaged by gunfire and a handgun round was recovered from that scene.

At the time, Schisel believed it was possibly an accidental discharge of a weapon nearby but now, “I don’t know what to make of either one of those situations. I came in here saying that the first incident might have been accidental, I just don’t know. I can see one being accidental but two is suspicious.”

Both incidents remain under investigation.
