Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Department of Physics and Astronomy will hold a public viewing night at Andreas Observatory on Saturday.

MSU officials say visitors will have a chance to look through one of the largest telescopes in Minnesota and view celestial objects that include star clusters, double stars and nebulae.

All visitors should park at the south end of Gage parking lot 1 and walk through the pedestrian gate to the observatory – it’s about 600 yards.

The event takes place from 9:00-11:00 p.m., weather permitting.
