(Washington, DC) — Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar is ripping her Republican colleagues for voting to acquit former President Trump. On Fox News Sunday, the Democrat said the GOP used an “excuse” to not convict Trump for inciting the deadly Capitol riot. She explained that “excuse” was Trump no longer being in office. Klobuchar also cast doubt on Trump’s future as a force inside the GOP, exclaiming “he is done.” Both she and Senator Tina Smith voted to convict the former President, though he was still acquitted.
