On a vote of 96-0, the U-S Senate, just before midnight Wednesday, passed a $2 trillion coronavirus relief package. The bill provides cash to individuals and businesses to help keep the economy going during the pandemic. U-S Senator Tina Smith says…

“My greatest concern was getting help to the healthcare system in Minnesota and around the country, so I worked very hard to make sure there were significant resources for hospitals and for community health centers.”

Most Americans who make less than $75 thousand a year will get 12-hundred dollar checks. There is also money set aside for small businesses in the form of loans and it expands unemployment insurance for workers. The package now heads to the House.
