As people statewide try to stay engaged with the world despite COVID-19 restrictions, Alexandria Tech and Community College is offering a way for older adults to virtually participate in lecture series. Amy Sunderland is the Director of Senior College. She says the shift to virtual offerings has been met with great enthusiasm.

“We have people from Maryland now, we have people from the larger west-central area, people that are grateful they can participate because they didn’t want to make the drive in the past. I think it really opened up some new opportunities.”

The next lecture, starting in January will focus on impactful events from the 1970s. More information is available at alextech.edu.
