Officers from several agencies, including a K-9 from Fairmont and a Nicollet County drone, helped arrest a man at Lime Valley Mobile Home Park who was accused of breaking into a woman’s trailer, threatening her with a knife, and punching the victim in the face.

“There are indications that he maybe swung at her and hit her above one of her eyes, causing some minor cuts,” said Mankato Department of Public Safety Commander Dan Schisel.

Schisel explained that the victim came home to find 28-year-old George Pepin inside her trailer, and he rode off on a bicycle after the assault.

After setting up a perimeter around the park, Schisel said they were unable to find Pepin until they got the tip that he may still be in the trailer park. “Officers went to check that information and he was located,” he explained, “He was arrested for first-degree burglary, stalking, second-degree assault, and flee on foot.”

The victim knew Pepin but Schisel said the exact nature of their relationship is unclear.
