(Sebeka, MN) — Two officers are injured and two people are dead after a shootout in Wadena County on Saturday night. Officials say around 9 p.m. that night a Wadena County sheriff’s deputy pulled over a driver for a traffic stop near North Germany Township. That’s when a struggle reportedly ensued between the sheriff’s deputy and the driver. A second driver then showed up and joined in the struggle, along with a Sebeka police officer. Police say one of the drivers allegedly pulled out a gun and the shootout started. Everyone was reportedly struck by a bullet, but one driver died at the scene and the other died at the hospital. Both officers are recovering after being treated. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the incident.
