A Brown County man was jailed after his probation officer was warned that 24-year-old Jordan Netzke was threatening to use an assault rifle to shoot people – including making a reference to the school shooting in Florida before stating, “I’m going to shoot up all the schools.”

When police went to Netzke’s home in Sleepy Eye they said he was uncooperative and continued to talk about a gun. He was taken to the hospital, and the criminal complaint shows he tried to kick out a window, said he wanted to shoot police, and kneed an officer in the chest.

Netzke is charged with making threats, a felony, and a gross misdemeanor of assaulting an officer.
