There are some changes to the Anthony Ford Pond Hockey Classic schedule, after Monday’s heavy, wet snow led to slushy ice conditions.

Anthony Ford Fund Committee officials say the blizzard combined with the recent warm weather has not allowed the top layer of ice to refreeze, but with colder weather predicted for Saturday night they believe it will be skateable by Sunday morning.

All Saturday adult play is rescheduled to Sunday, meaning both youth and adults will play on the same day.

They also ask teams to arrive early on Sunday, because officials will need extra time to get everyone checked in. Youth games will start at 8:30 AM so they ask players to be at the pond by 7:30 for team check-in. Adult games will start at 9:00 so they are asked to arrive by 8:00 to check-in.
