Lewd conduct by a drunken couple from southern Minnesota on a flight from Las Vegas to the Twin Cities led to their arrests on a sex-related charge.

Police led 43-year-old Teresa Kohn of Spring Valley and 41-year-old Tyler Boehm of Stewartville off the Sun Country flight and handcuffed them soon after landing at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Jan. 21.

They have each been charged with a misdemeanor of engaging in gross lewdness or lascivious behavior.

Police said the behavior involved her head under a blanket that was over his lap. Kohn told police her head was under the blanket for 2 seconds, while a woman seated a nearby said it was closer to 5 to 10 minutes.

Kohn told officers they were “joking round” about joining the “mile high club,” a reference to having sex while on an airliner.

Before the flight left Las Vegas, the police report shows Kohn had been “belligerent towards the flight attendants,” and was demanding beer before the flight had taken off and was denied.
