A Watonwan County couple is facing several charges after the Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force served a search warrant at their St. James home and agents found methamphetamine, a home filled with trash, and a child living amid those conditions.

Agents say there was rotting food, garbage, and cat feces in every room of the house, and the complaint shows that the officers found it hard to breathe in the house because of the foul smell.

Prosecutors have charged 36-year-old Melissa Farr with exposing a child to meth and child endangerment, and 36-year-old Bobby Murilla is facing the same charges plus marijuana possession.

Officials say the child was taken into protective custody.
