(Chisholm, MN) — A state Senator’s wife is facing charges of domestic assault. Charlotte Tomassoni was arrested on Sunday night in Chisholm after police say she attacked her husband with various items and threatened to stab him. David Tomassoni, an independent who represents District 6, was recently diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease and apparently said he feared he couldn’t defend himself. Police say his wife smelled of alcohol when she was taken into custody. She pled not guilty and was given conditional release yesterday.
