Extra enforcement on speedy drivers is being put into place in Minnesota following a year of record deaths. Yesterday, the state Department of Public Safety announced the statewide crackdown while noting that more people died on the road in 2020 than in each of the previous five years. The crackdown will see multiple agencies working together to use one-million dollars in federal funding for more officers on the road and a public outreach campaign. Since the beginning of the year, 23 people have been killed in road incidents.
