It’s going to be a hot and humid day. The State Health Department’s Tess Konen says if you are planning to spend some time outside today:

“Take time to rest and to make sure you’re drinking plenty of fluid, and to avoid being outside at the hottest time of day and make sure to take those breaks if you need them and wear loose-fitting, light-colored clothing.”

Each year hundreds of people are treated for heat-related illnesses.
