Johnson’s bill aims to allow EMS personnel to assist people with adrenal insufficiency

A bill introduced in the House is aiming to allow first responders to administer prescription medications to Minnesotans who suffer from adrenal insufficiency. The disease can be life-threatening when the adrenal glands don't produce enough of the hormone cortisol when the person suffers some sort of physical trauma. Rep. Clark Johnson Legislation authored by House Representative Clark Johnson (D-North Mankato) would pave way for certified emergency medical services personnel to become certified to assist with medications.
