Minnesota to spend $1.3M amid licensing system complaints

The Minnesota Driver and Vehicle Services Office plans to spend 1.3-million dollars to hire 26 more staff members to handle the fallout from the launch of the Licensing and Registration system. Eagle Lake City Council appoints Auringer mayor

After a sudden public office vacancy, the Eagle Lake City Council unanimously approved appointing Tim Auringer as mayor on Monday night. Former Mayor Brianna Anderson submitted her resignation on February 5 after announcing that she was moving to Mapleton. City Administrator Jennifer Bromeland said it was unfortunate.
