June jobs report shows Mankato Metro gained 2,535 jobs

The Mankato Metro continues to see large job gains. June employment figures were released by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development on Thursday and show the Mankato – North Mankato Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) gained 2,535 jobs, or 4.5-percent year-over-year. Greater Mankato Growth crunched the numbers that show the Mankato Metro led all MSA's for the sixth consecutive month. The Mankato-North Mankato Metropolitan Statistical Area continues lead the state in job growth in 2018. Greater Mankato Growth crunched the latest numbers from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development for the month of May, which saw the area gain 1-thousand 286 jobs or 2.2-percent year-over-year. The Mankato-North Mankato Metropolitan Statistical Area gained 901 jobs year-over-year in April. Greater Mankato Growth crunched the latest numbers from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development that shows the MSA experienced a 1.6-percent growth last month. Minnesota gained 8,900 jobs in December as State saw 1.5% growth in 2017

The State experienced a large increase in jobs in December as employers added a reported 8,900 jobs, according to the latest figures from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. Construction led all sectors last month with 5,700 new jobs, while the professional and business services sector was down 1,400 jobs.  Minnesota’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in December was 3.1-percent, down slightly from the revised rate of 3.2-percent in November and the lowest level since July 2000.
