Kasota man hospitalized after accident with semi

The Minnesota State Patrol reports a Kasota man was transported to the hospital on Saturday after crashing his Buick into a semi. According to the report, 87-year old Clinton Charles Gunderson was stopped at Le Sueur County Road 21, attempting to cross over Highway 22 shortly before noon. Gunderson pulled out in front of a tractor-trailer and the vehicles collided in the Kasota Township. Gunderson suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato. The driver of the semi, Meril Kohl of Williamsburg, Ohio was uninjured.

Two injured in icy crash on Highway 169 near Le Sueur

Two women from North Mankato were injured Wednesday morning after a crash on Highway 169 in Le Sueur County. The Minnesota State Patrol says 36-year old Andrea Rose Copeland was driving up the northbound hill on Highway 169 near Le Sueur when she lost control of the vehicle on ice.  According to the report, Copeland and a passenger, 19-year old Destiny Rose Larson, suffered non-life threatening injuries. Both were transported to the Le Sueur Hospital. The accident was reported at 9:41 a.m.
