North 3rd Street in Saint Peter to see around $99,000 in improvements

Saint Peter has signed off on a 99-thousand dollar project to improve North 3rd Street between Broadway Avenue and Chatham Street. City Engineer Jeff Domras says the segment of road is in poor condition as well as the curb and gutter.  "One of the main reasons for doing the project also was to improve the pedestrian ramp access for ADA accessibility in that. The project includes all that work, the city would be doing a portion of this work themselves. The Saint Peter City Council has signed off on 16-thousand 400 dollars worth of improvements to North 3rd Street. Construction will refurbish the roadway from Broadway Avenue through the Chatham Street intersection. City Administrator Todd Prafke says the goal is complete the work this summer. Saint Peter City Administrator, Todd Prafke. "We anticipate the work itself will take anywhere from 10 days to two-and-a-half weeks.
