Regulations on Airbnb rentals reviewed by North Kato Council

Short-term home rentals saw a boost during the Super Bowl earlier this year in Minneapolis and many Minnesota cities are now exploring how to regulate the new way to rent space for travelers to stay. Currently, the City of North Mankato knows of six residential properties that are being rented out through online marketplaces, such as Airbnb. Request from Harrison Truck Center continues development at industrial park in North Mankato

Next week the North Mankato Planning Commission will consider two requests from Harrison Truck Center to rezone its property to Heavy Industrial and consider accepting the preliminary and final plat for a new facility. In 2016, Harrison Truck purchased nearly 21-acres of property in the North Port Industrial Park, but the property has sat undeveloped to this point.
