North Mankato hires new Public Works Director, to begin duties on Monday

North Mankato has hired Nate Host as its new Director of Public Works. Host joins North Mankato after serving as the Assistant Project Manager for M.A. Mortenson Construction Company in Minneapolis. He led projects that include the University of Minnesota Athletic Village and the Mall of America expansion.  "Nate brings strong credentials and a proven history of high-quality project completions to this position,” said John Harrenstein, North Mankato City Administrator. Eagle Lake names new Public Works Director

Eagle Lake has promoted Public Works Supervisor Brian Goettl to be the city's new Director. Former Public Works Director Rick Reinbold retired in February after working for the City for 33 years. City Administrator Jennifer Bromeland says Goettl has work for the City since 1995. "So, he had Rick as his mentor for many years and now he has moved up to the position of Public Works Director. So, he's got a lot of knowledge as well. We're really fortunate." The City is also in the process of hiring two new full-time employees in the department.

Swanson leaving North Mankato for Public Works position in Mankato

After spending the past two decades as North Mankato's Public Works Director, Brad Swanson is leaving his position for a job across the river.
