Sidewalk improvements at Veterans Memorial Park in Saint Peter came in nearly 9-thousand dollars over the bid amount as the City Council finalized the project on Monday night. The additional cost was associated with improvements between Chatham Street and the City Pool, according to Public Works Director Pete Moulton. Former public works site to become affordable and supportive housing and a daycare

The City of Mankato has approved a $23 million redevelopment of a property which was once home to city public works. The now-vacant land will become home to affordable housing, a complex focused on families at risk of homelessness, and a daycare.
