Former Brown Printing building in Waseca sold to developers

The QuadGraphics building in Waseca has been purchased by developers in southern Minnesota. Coldwell Banker Commercial Fisher Group assisted with the purchase in June of the industrial space located at 2300 Brown Avenue. Brown Printing formerly occupied the site that was on the market less than six months. Developers plan to focus on filling the industrial space with new tenants that would bring full-time jobs to the Waseca Community. The building features 54-thousand feet of office space and 500-feet of indoor rail and equipment to provide production support. North Mankato is pushing ahead with its ordinance on Tobacco 21. On a vote of 3-1, the City Council approved moving forward with raising the purchasing age from 18 to 21, despite a verbal agreement that the issue would be in conjunction with Mankato. The North Mankato council heard 30 minutes of testimony on Tuesday night on the issue of raising the purchasing age for tobacco from 18 to 21. Raising the purchasing age for tobacco to 21 is gaining attention this month as both cities in the metro will hold meetings on the issue.
