Nipsey Hussle Will Receive a Humanitarian Award at 2019 Bet Awards

Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed outside of his own store, The Marathon Clothing, in Los Angeles. Nipsey did a lot of humanitarian work in the South Los Angeles area, including gang violence prevention. Connie Orlando, the Executive Vice-President at BET, announced Thursday that Nipsey will receive the Humanitarian Award at the 2019 BET Awards. The ceremony will have a variety of artists, including YG, John Legend, and DJ Khaled. Regina Hall will be hosting. The 2019 BET Awards will air June 23 at 7:00 p.m.

The late John Linder inducted into Minnesota Broadcasting Hall of Fame

The late John Linder, former owner of Minnesota Valley Broadcasting, has been inducted into the Minnesota Broadcasting Hall of Fame. Linder had interest in several radio groups, including locally owned and operated Radio Mankato, which is home to KTOE, Minnesota 93, Hot 96.7, Oldies 100.5, KRRW, KXLP, and The Fan. He spent his entire life in radio and died in 2017 after a battle with cancer. John Linder. The Linder family has been in the radio business in Mankato since 1950.
