Revere man facing charges after alcohol reportedly involved in Brown County crash

The Brown County Sheriff's Office reports a Revere man is facing charges after an accident involving alcohol on Sunday evening. According to the report, 22-year old Landon Lee Evans was driving on 450th Avenue near the Mound Creek Park west of Comfrey when he rolled his Mercury Montego at 5:46 p.m. Deputies say the vehicle rolled into the ditch and was totaled. Evens suffered minor injuries and is facing alcohol-related charges. A passenger in the vehicle, Shawn Wayne Burden of Jeffers was reportedly uninjured.

Le Sueur County Authorities say a woman currently behind bars is facing charges in connection with four break-ins that occurred in November of 2017. According to the report, 26-year old Christine Kathryn Rachuy of Mankato is facing multiple burglary and theft charges stemming from burglaries that occurred at cabins and homes on Lake Francis in rural Elysian. 26-year old Christine Kathryn Rachuy of Mankato Investigators obtained evidence along with DNA samples from alcohol containers left at the scene of the break-ins. Authorities say they may never know who attempted to abduct a Texas woman at a rest area near Blue Earth on Friday night. A male suspect reportedly attempted to assault the woman and tried to pull her into the woods while she was walking on a bike trail near the rest area. Remains of missing Sleepy Eye man possibly found on Sunday

Authorities in Brown County say a citizen using a rest area on Highway 4 near the Cottonwood River may have found the remains of a Sleepy Eye man that has been missing for nearly two months. Around 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, the Brown County Sheriff's Office was contacted after the person observed a gun, clothing and what appeared to be bone. The Faribault County Sheriff's Office is still investigating a report of an attempted abduction near Blue Earth on Friday night. According to the report, a male suspect allegedly attempted to assault a Texas woman near a rest area and tried to pull her into the woods. Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office hosting search and rescue training with teams from Minnesota and Iowa

Around 65 officers and 25 boats from search and rescue teams from Minnesota and Iowa will be taking part in a two-day class in Nicollet County this week. Reward increased to $1,500 for information on illegal garbage dump near Waterville

The Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office has increased the reward for information on an illegal garbage dump near Waterville last month. According to the report, the reward has been increased to 15-hundred dollars for information that leads to the identification of the suspect involved in the illegal dump on June 6. Authorities found a large amount of garbage west of Highway 13 in the Waterville Township on 470th Street.  Investigators urge anyone with information to contact the Sheriff's Office by calling 507-357-4440.

Authorities have arrested the primary suspect in the robbery of the Le Hillier Quick Mart early Tuesday morning. The Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office reports 22-year old Clayton William Vaughn of Aurora, Illinois was taken into custody on Wednesday evening. Blue Earth County Sheriff's Officials have called off search efforts north of Saint Clair to find a suspect involved in a robbery at the Le Hillier Quick Mart around 1:56 a.m. Tuesday. According to the report, a male entered the store wearing a mask and displayed a blunt object, he then fled the scene after obtaining cash. Deputies located a suspicious black Cadillac CTS and pursued the vehicle through the South Bend Township and towards the intersection of County Road 90 and Highway 83. Local authorities searching for man involved in robbery and pursuit

The Blue Earth County Sheriff's Office is searching for a male that fled on foot following a robbery and pursuit Tuesday morning. According to the report, the Sheriff's Office is searching in the area of Highway 83 and County Road 90. The male was last seen wearing light brown pants and had on a black shirt but authorities suspect he discarded the shirt. Anyone who sees suspicious activity in the area is urged to call 911.
