North Mankato is considering changes to current regulations when it comes to safety measures surrounding in-ground swimming pools after a resident requested the issue be reviewed. North Mankato review backs rental cap in single-family housing districts

Feedback from the North Mankato Rental Density Advisory Group has reaffirmed a 10-percent cap on rentals in areas zoned for single-family and duplex homes. The Council has received recommendations from the group that oversaw aspects of the ordinance that was put into place in September of 2016. Some of the priorities included enforcing off-street parking, ensuring rentals underwent inspections and that rental strikes and complaints were addressed. Developer given approval to build 14 new lots at Windsor Pond subdivision in Saint Peter

Plans are moving forward for 14 new lots of single-family homes in Saint Peter. Windsor Homes, LLC has been given the green light for a third addition at the Windsor Pond subdivision. After originally undertaking a 22-lot development in 2002 and adding 34 additional single-family lots in 2004, the combination of inventory and market conditions led to a break in development at the site.
