Man wanted after Cops say he fraudulently received $8,700 in public assistance

A Mankato man is facing a Felony charge of Wrongfully Obtaining Assistance after local Police received a fraud tip in March. According to the report, 29-year old Lionel Maurice Arnold was receiving SNAP and MA benefits through Blue Earth County but did not report that he was employed at Grizzly's Restaurant beginning in July of 2017. Investigators say he fraudulently obtained nearly 8-thousand 700 dollars in public assistance.  A warrant has been issued for Arnold's arrest.

It could be a critical year in 2018 for farmers with a new Farm Bill to be taken up this year.
