A snow emergency is being called for the downtown Mankato corridor from 11:30 p.m. Tuesday night until 8 a.m. on Wednesday. The section of roadway is for Riverfront Drive to Broad Street, from Madison Avenue to Marshall Street and 100 blocks of East and West Liberty Street. Parking on the streets is not permitted so snow can be removed quickly and efficiently. Temporary parking is available downtown at no cost in the Mankato Place and Civic Center parking ramps during snow emergencies. Parking is also allowed in yards during a snow emergency.
