The April 18th tax deadline is approaching. Ryan Brown with the Minnesota Department of Revenue says:
“So far we’ve seen about 1.9 million tax returns already come in and about 1.1 million refunds already go out we expect to get around 2.9 to 3 million returns filed this year.”
For those who haven’t yet filed, Brown recommends e-filing and choosing direct deposit, checking your return for accuracy. And he recommends paying as much as you can by the due date and contacting the Revenue Department as soon as possible to set up a payment agreement for the remaining balance.
