In just the United States alone, Taylor Swift’s version of ‘Love Story’ had over 5.8 million streams (audio and video combined) on the release date of Feb 12th, according to MRC data.

Swift announced on Feb 11th, that she re-recorded her hit 2008 album Fearless. She recorded the 2021 album as her own version. The 2008 Fearless album was Swift’s first No.1 album on the Billboard 200.

Swift also updated the lead single ‘Love Story’ and she revealed that the single would be released on Feb. 11th. The 2008 version of ‘Love Story’ was Swift’s second Billboard Hot 100 hit.

Swift’s version of ‘Love Story’ reached 672,000 streams on Feb 12th. Before the new release date of ‘Love Story’ on Feb 11th, the single would have between 270,000 to 325,000 streams per day.

Swift’s new version of Fearless will be treated differently than her 2008 version, when it comes to Billboard charts.
