A teen is facing five Felony charges in Blue Earth County after Authorities say she was picking up prescription pills that weren’t hers.
According to court documents, the victim reported that starting in January, someone had been picking up prescriptions for Vyvanse without her permission. Mankato Police say the victim identified 18-year old Marissa Marie Van Beek, no known address, as a possible suspect.
In an interview with Authorities, Van Beek denied picking up the prescriptions on three separate occasions. The complaint shows that Van Beek used her driver’s license during all three incidents and she was identified on surveillance video. Each prescription contained 30 pills.
Among the five charges, Van Beek faces a count of 3rd Degree Possession of Drugs, two counts of Theft and two counts of 5th Degree Possession of Drugs.
