The COVID vaccine “lottery” must end immediately because it’s hurting patients, and allocations to hospitals must increase — says Minnesota Hospital Association C-E-O Rahul Koranne in a letter to top state health officials. Republican Senator Michelle Benson echoes that hospitals have freezers for the Pfizer vaccine and can contact those on patient lists and make appointments:

“It is the least chaotic, most transparent way to get the vaccine into the arms of those who need it the most as quickly as possible.”

State health officials weren’t immediately available for comment.
