(Minneapolis, MN) — A murder trial is underway for a man accused in nearly 30-year-old cold case. Hennepin County prosecutors say Jerry Westrom brutally stabbed Jeanne “Jeanie” Childs to death in June 1993. Prosecutors laid out DNA evidence yesterday and showed bloody shoe prints they say belong to the businessman and hockey dad. Westrom’s attorney is pointing the finger at Arthur Gray, whose hair was found in Childs’ left hand and who had a history of abusing her.
