The Minnesota Twins and Boston Red Sox are donating 200 thousand dollars to five nonprofits in southwest Florida for hurricane relief and recovery efforts. The Fort Myers area was devastated by Hurricane Ian and both teams have spring training homes there. Twins president Dave St. Peter said, “Lee County is a special part of Twins Territory, and we – along with our friends and Fort Myers neighbors, the Boston Red Sox – will be there for our Southwest Florida family in this time of recovery, as they have always been for us.”
