Two Mankato organizations have received grants from the Minnesota Department of Human Services. State officials say the Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging and VINE Faith in Action were two of 70 organizations to receive the funding designed to help older Minnesotans maintain their health, independence, and community involvement. DHS representatives say the Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging will receive 33-thousand 245-dollars to assist a coalition in implement the Community Aging in Place-Advancing Better Living for Elders-or CAPABLE-program. State officials say VINE will receive 62-thousand 752-dollars to implement the Program to Encourage Active, Rewarding Lives-or PEARLS-in Blue Earth, Nicollet, and Le Sueur counties.
