Two people have been hurt in motorcycle-related crashes in the area in the past few days.

Minnesota State Patrol says the first happened on Wednesday afternoon on Highway 169 near St. Peter.

Troopers say 68-year-old Daivid Kisor of Arizona stopped to make a left turn when the pickup driven by 28-year-old William Ellison – also from Arizona – hit the bike and sent it into the median. The pickup ended up in the ditch.

Ellison wasn’t hurt and officials say Kisor was taken to the hospital with injuries termed not life-threatening.

Thursday afternoon state patrol says a 66-year-old Redwood County woman was injured in a collision with a deer in Sanborn.

Troopers say Donna Neuman was on Highway 71 when the deer came out of the west ditch and cornfield and hit her trike.

She was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
