(Minneapolis, MN) — University of Minnesota President Joan Gabel is resigning from the board of directors of Securian Financial. Gabel announced her resignation from that board yesterday after informing the Board of Regents. The company has more than a billion dollars in business with the university. Her decision came after the governor, state attorney general, and other high profile officials expressed concern over the arrangement.
