Minnesota is the host of the 52nd Super Bowl on February 4, and next week the VINE Adult Community Center will host a Lunch and Learn event to talk about what it takes to showcase all that Minnesota has to offer when hundreds of thousands of visitors arrive.

VINE’s Paige Schuette said it takes a lot of work to plan and execute the world-wide event because, “It’s not just that day of the Super Bowl. It’s ten days of events and festivals and different things that are going on in the community to give people an opportunity to partake in something different than just the Super Bowl.”

Well-known local event planner Kaaren Grabianowski will give attendees a glimpse of what activities and celebrations will be happening during the Super Bowl, and provide an inside look at what has been in the works for the last 12 months. Schuette said, “She’s actually a Captain Volunteer for the, they’re calling them the 52 Crew, all of the volunteers that are being gathered by the state of Minnesota basically to give people a warm welcome to Minnesota. This is a huge event.”

The event on Wednesday from noon to 1:00 p.m. is free to VACC members and open to the public for $5 per person. Attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch; coffee and water will be provided. Registration is available online at www.vinevolunteers.com or by calling the community center.
