Governor Tim Walz says there’s a reason for hope amid the COVID pandemic as vaccines make their way to Minnesota. He’s urging Minnesotans to be patient and to keep “their guards up.”

“We want to bring our kids back into school, we want to see them after the first of the year playing sports again together, and we want to get those other hospitality industries restaurants and bars back in place it’s something we know they’re hurting on and we need to get it right.”

Walz says despite the number of cases trending lower in Minnesota in recent days, it’s still very important for Minnesotans to practice social distance and limit social gatherings.
