Will Minnesota follow other states’ lead and pull Russian-made liquors from their shelves?
At this time there is no statewide discussion and there is a good reason why. Minnesota currently doesn’t have any “state-run” liquor stores or “state-run” wholesale liquor distributors. There are many cities that manage their local “municipality” and it is not centralized. There may however be individual bars, restaurants, or liquor stores that make their own product decisions related to the sale of Russian-made products. There is a statewide agency that regulates alcohol under the Department of Public Safety – but it focuses on enforcement of liquor laws and taxes — not products.
