A 25-year-old Mankato woman is facing five counts related to driving under the influence and one of driving without insurance, after a crash on Sunday at the intersection of Highway 22 and Augusta Drive in Mankato.
Minnesota State Patrol says the occupants of both vehicles were injured in the crash, and the trooper on-scene could smell burned marijuana coming from Jennifer Thompson’s car.
The criminal complaint shows that marijuana and a pipe were found in Thompson’s vehicle, and at the hospital she told investigators that she couldn’t remember the crash.
While Thompson claimed she hadn’t smoked since the previous night, the trooper noted her words were slurred and a blood test showed the presence of Amphetamine and Methamphetamine.
She’s been summoned to appear in court early next month.
