Drivers can expect delays on Highway 93 from Highway 169 to the Minnesota River Bridge near Le Sueur as crews seal coat the road Thursday and Friday, weather permitting.
Minnesota Department of Transportation officials said Highway 93 traffic may encounter loose rock on the road and should anticipate lane closures while the work takes place. Traffic will be controlled with a pilot car and flaggers.
MnDOT officials explain that seal coating both extends the life of the pavement and provides protection from deterioration due to sun and moisture.
Crews are asking to slow down, drive with caution, and watch for workers, equipment and traffic control devices.
