By |2021-04-13T07:15:36-05:00April 13th, 2021|

I haven't used much trigonometry lately, and I also haven't had to have any important in-depth conversations on symbolism in "Tess of the d'Urbervilles".  So I guess I was right to ask my teachers, "When are we going to need this in real life?" According to a new survey, 83% of parents think schools should spend some time teaching important life skills to go along with all the standard academic stuff.  And here are the 10 life skills we wish we'd learned in school . . . How to save money. How to budget and organize your finances. How to invest. How [...]

Things I Noticed

By |2021-04-12T07:27:24-05:00April 12th, 2021|

The fancier the Kitchen the more impossible it is to find the trash can. The weather people ruined my weekend... In reality, it's my fault, I assumed on Friday when they said it was going to be sunny and 60s, I thought that's what we are going to get! Instead gloomy and cool just put me in a mood. Extremely proud of Mavericks for getting to the frozen four... but help me understand how as Minnesotans, we let U Mass win it all!? Stop, drop, and roll PSA's from the 90s made everyone think they were going to be on fire [...]

Wendy's side of melted cheese.  Quote, "You can order a cup of melted cheese at Wendy's to dip your fries and nuggets." McDonald's cheap Big Mac.  [...]

It's Friday!  If that's not a good enough reason to be excited today, here are four things you can do to feel happier.  And the best part is, they all take less than 10 minutes, and they're FREE . . . Message someone you know.  Reach out to someone you haven't spoken to in a while.  Even if it's just to send them a funny photo or a fun memory that you had. Organize your errands.  Organize all the small errands you need to do and start checking them off.  Planning like that helps reduce procrastination so we feel less stressed [...]

"Getting off the phone so someone else could use the Internet." "Calling a phone number to [...]
