The Department of Natural Resources is warning lake goers to keep off the ice as it is deteriorating. Officials say the recent warm weather has worsened ice conditions statewide, and they emphasize the importance of taking extra precautions now. They added that there has already been three ice-related deaths this year. Lake goers are encouraged to check the ice thickness ahead of time and to bring ice picks and a life jacket.
