Starting on Monday (January 24th) the DNR is asking for public input on deer population goals in 28 of 130 deer permit areas.

“These goals are very important because they guide the annual decision-making process with regards to deer regulations and bag limits in each deer permit area.”

The DNR’s Barbara Keller says online feedback opens Monday and concludes on Sunday, February 13th. Participants will be asked to complete an online questionnaire and indicate whether the deer population in a particular area should increase, decrease, or stay the same-and provide their rationale.
