Minnesota House lawmakers are briefed by Mayo Clinic researchers this afternoon (2pm) on the health effects of so-called “long COVID”. Representative Tina Liebling from Rochester says:
“The outcomes from COVID aren’t just death or life…. Having COVID can have very long-term and serious health consequences.”
The committee also gets an update from state health officials on vaccine availability for children, including that just-authorized for ages 5 through 11:
“The delta variant, which is our most recent experience, has really been much more serious among children than the previous strains that we were familiar with.”
