The North Mankato City Council will discuss the city’s utility fund budgets in a work session on Monday. City administrator John Harrenstein says there will likely be a slight increase for city residents.

“There will be a recommended rate increase for either stormwater or wastewater,” said Harrenstein. “It will likely amount to around a dollar a month increase for residents.”

Harrenstein says most of the city’s decisions from now until the end of the year will involve the budget. The city is planning a property tax levy reduction in 2021.
