David Dobrik is one of YouTube’s biggest creators on the platform. Dobrik has 28.85M subscribers between his three channels, David Dobrik, David Dobrik Too, and Views. Due to recent allegations and controversy, Dobrik has lost over 400K subscribers.

On top of this, the social media star has also lost most of his sponsorships. So far, Honey, Bumble, Frank’s RedHot, Door Dash, Hello Fresh, Dollar Shave Club, EA Sports, General Mills, and HBO Max have released statements explaining that they would no longer be partnering with the creator. This is incredibly important as many of Dobrik’s videos use copyrighted music, meaning they are ineligible for AdSense revenue due to YouTube’s policies. He has also been removed as an owner from the LA Based women’s soccer team, Angel City Football Club. He has also stepped down from his app, Dispo, as many investors pulled out of the app. The app has been valued to be worth $100M.

YouTube’s decision to demonetize the creator comes as a surprise, but many anticipate that David will not only return to the platform, but he will continue to succeed, like many creators do.

Former VlogSquad member Dom Zeglaitis, A.K.A “Durte Dom”, has also had his channel suspended.
